The current range runs the 1.9-litre RZ4E in single and double cab, and the 3.0-litre 4JJ3 at the top with 450 Nm, 3,500 kg braked towing and a full driver-assistance suite. Every variant clears 800 mm of water and carries a 76-litre tank.

Payload runs from 970 kg on the 3.0-litre TFS40 double cab up to 1,265 kg on the 1.9-litre 4x2 single cab. The single cab carries most because it has the least body weight and the longest load box at 2,330 mm.
What is the difference between the 1.9L and 3.0L D-Max?
The 1.9-litre RZ4E-MID produces 110 kW and 350 Nm; the 3.0-litre 4JJ3 produces 140 kW and 450 Nm. The 3.0-litre also raises braked towing from 2,100 kg to 3,500 kg and adds adaptive cruise control, autonomous braking, blind-spot monitoring and lane-departure warning.
