Trucks by application

Refrigerated trucks

Choose the temperature first, then the truck. Flowers and horticulture run at about +5 °C, dairy at −5 °C, fresh meat, chicken and fish at −18 °C, and ice cream and deep-frozen goods at −30 °C. Short multi-drop routes suit the NMR85H and NQR81K; longer and export runs suit the FRR90N and F-Series.

Body options

  • Insulated sandwich-panel body, food-grade smooth finish
  • Floors: aluminium checker, smooth fibreglass, stainless steel or aluminium T-profile
  • Double rear doors, removable pillars, meat hooks on rail

Standard body (L × W × H) are typical body-builder figures from the Isuzu East Africa Truck Application Guide, March 2022; the body built for you may differ. What a truck can legally carry depends on the body fitted, so check your load in the payload calculator or ask TMD.

Cooling unit by route

  • +5 °C, short multi-drop routes: a cooling unit driven by the vehicle's engine.
  • −5 °C dairy: a road-run unit with an auxiliary, and a 415 V standby connection to keep the load cold while parked.
  • −18 °C and −30 °C, long distance: an independent unit with its own engine.
