The load bench
Will it carry what you carry?
Gross vehicle weight is only half the question. Set your load, then slide it along the deck — the axles trade against each other, and a truck can be well under its gross limit while over on the rear axle. That is what a weighbridge catches.
Why axle loads, not just payload
Kenyan weighbridges check each axle, not only the gross figure. A truck loaded from the tailgate forward can sit a tonne under its GVW and still be over on the rear axle. Four of the trucks in this range can do exactly that at full payload.
Why the body matters
Isuzu supplies most of this range as a cab and chassis. The body is built locally and takes its share of the allowance before anything is loaded — a steel tipper can account for 2,400 kg of what a brochure calls payload.
Then come and weigh it
This is arithmetic on published figures, and it is close enough to choose a truck with. It is not a substitute for weighing the finished vehicle. Bring the body drawings to any branch and we will work it through with you properly.
