Nothing to download
The 3D scenes are constructed in your browser rather than fetched as large model files — a few kilobytes of code instead of tens of megabytes of assets.
Degrades honestly
If a device cannot run WebGL, the viewer says so and points you to the full specifications rather than showing a broken black rectangle.
